a forecast of the expected risk of overexposure to UV

Easy to use

Always be aware of the UV reading

UI Index

The UV index is a scientific and international measure of the ultraviolet radiation from the sun. These readings differ all the time so staying on top of them is always wise, especially during the summer months..

Easy to Use

View your current UV index reading on an easy-to-read meter.
It takes the reading and the dial points in the area of low, moderate, high, very high, or extreme.

Recommended Protection

The app will give you the "recommended protection" such as the sun block needed, the sunburn times, and required equipment.

SPF / PA

The SPF rating is a measure of "how long a sunscreen remains effective on the skin."

The effectiveness of a sunblock can be determined "by multiplying the SPF factor by the length of time it takes for him or her to suffer a burn without sunscreen."
Thus, if a person develops a sunburn in 10 minutes when not wearing a sunblock, the same person will prevent sunburn for 150 minutes if he/she wears a sunblock with a SPF of 15."

Asian brands, particularly Japanese ones, tend to use The Protection Grade of UVA (PA) system to measure the UVA protection a sunscreen provides.

The Protection Grade of UVA (PA) system is based on the PPD reaction and is now widely adopted on the labels of sunscreens. According to the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association PA+ corresponds to a UVA protection factor between two and four, PA++ between four and eight, and PA+++ more than eight.
